How do you become an unstoppable soul?
First of all, I would like to dedicate this article to my student David! During my internship abroad, I noticed that David is an avid reader. I think it's great that David has such a passion for reading! So I asked him about his three favorite books and this is one of them. If you read this one David, know that you will make unstoppable progress in your life plans if you keep doing exactly what you're doing! I can tell that this book has had a strong and positive influence on you. It has already taught me a lot and will continue to teach me a lot. Now I would like to give you a short introduction to the book to share David's knowledge with you.
Where should I start? My book is full of notes, which I have regularly highlighted in yellow and marked with arrows. I will focus on the essence here. The author Laín García Calvo divides the journey of your personal transformation into three parts:
Victimization
Empowerment
Devotion/Surrender
1.Victimization
At the beginning of your journey, you usually find yourself in the role of victim. You may have thoughts such as “I don't get enough money”, “Young people are becoming more and more disrespectful” or “I'd like to, but what if...?”. It seems as if everything is conspiring against you and only you are so unlucky, while others are spared. But why is that?
Most people have internalized these thoughts to such an extent that they are convinced that they don't deserve any more than what they already have. They no longer dare to dream and fall into negativity. Yet everyone is positive by nature. Have you ever seen a negative child? We are increasingly losing touch with our positive roots, as the author Stefanie Stahl points out in her book “Das Kind in dir muss Heimat finden”. We are increasingly surrounded by negative thoughts. But how can we get into the role of empowerment?
2.Empowerment
An important step in getting to the stage where you gain control is to first recognize where you stand. An important part of this is recognizing whether you have an environment that negatively influences your thinking. Do you have people in your close circle who don't know exactly what they want to achieve in life? Are they afraid of life and the future because of all the negative headlines that come from consumerism? Do they have negative beliefs or do they judge other people? The author also gives us clear guidelines on how to change our beliefs in order to empower ourselves.
When people blame others for their misfortune, they are showing that they do not want to take control of their own lives. Sometimes politicians, foreigners, work colleagues or even the rich are blamed for certain problems. But here, as many times in his book, the author gives us a fitting quote that fits in quite well.
“What you bless, you will receive”
If you blame the rich for your bad situation and see money as a factor for evil, you will never attract money and never escape from your financially strained situation. This also applies to many other areas. This also applies to many other areas of your life. Because what comes out of your mouth comes from your heart. If you have negative beliefs, you will only spread them instead of sowing positive ones.
As already mentioned, he also talks about people around you who don't have a clear plan. Lain mentions a clear vision as an essential factor for success. If you have a clear vision, you will experience incredible things. It doesn't have to be a big leap that changes your life forever. Even small steps can take you further. Imagine getting 1% better every day. Imagine that happens every day. At the end of the year, you would have made an incredible 365% progress. Stay motivated and don't lose focus.
However, if anything gets in your way, it's a test of your will. The universe will test how much you want to achieve your goal. Problems on your path validate your abilities rather than being a punishment from the universe. Here the author has probably also read Brian Tracy;)
3.Devotion/Surrender
If you follow the author's steps, sooner or later you will realize that there is a higher power that will help you achieve your goals. Now that we have our goals clearly in mind and are getting one step closer every day, we need to be patient in order to reach our goal. To achieve our goal, we must not consider every single detail at all costs or dedicate every second to it. Instead, we must surrender to destiny and the ways of the universe. It will reveal itself to you when we are ready and at the right moment. Then you will reap what you have sown.
Our opinion: Spoiler, this book may be too spiritual/esoteric for some!
The book is very pleasantly designed. When it arrived, I saw this 600-page work and thought I would spend the next two months just reading it. However, the author divides the book into very small, digestible sections, regularly incorporates appropriate quotes from famous people and uses a pleasant vocabulary that is not very academic.
The book is also relatively modern, as it contains QR codes, pictures from other readers and social media posts from people who have also read the book.
In some ways, some passages can be repetitive and the author still refers to previously mentioned concepts 100 pages later. Some may find this annoying, but I realized that by repeating it regularly, the author wanted to share his insights with you so that you wouldn't forget them. The routine eventually burns it into your subconscious, from where your thoughts spring and can be transformed into material form. I really enjoyed the book and look forward to incorporating many of its lessons into my everyday life :)
If you are expecting a highly academic text here, you might want to check out Adam Grant's literature :) I would like to end this article with the words that Laín regularly shares with readers to help them internalize these words. I hope these words help you as much as they have helped me.
I am a leader, not a follower
I listen to the voice of my soul
for many no's in my past, there is a big yes in my future
I do not speak of defeat and failure, I speak of victory, faith and hope!
It is not important where I come from, it is important where I am going
and doors of blessing are opening in my life
because I am an unstoppable soul
Mindfulness Score: 8,5/10
P.S. However, we refrain from an English translation, as it is said to be very poor. If you speak Spanish, we recommend you read this version :)
